luth is really a longtime collaborator of mine now. always love workin on these projects, so unique and original!

lots of varied motifs were flying around in the planning stages of this one--toys, eastern, military, bugs, theater/melodrama, strategy, wrestling/spectacle (you can see early manifestations of some of these in the bonus tracks if you download)
the final product just leans into a few of these

the instrumentation takes some cues from some calum bowen tracks luth sent me--I rarely use accordion-y sounds but they ended up working pretty well here! in fact, lots of stylistic things that are unusual for me. it was an experiment and I'm not happy with all of it, but I sure learned a lot
